Teletherapy is also known as distance counseling, virtual therapy, online psychotherapy, or online therapy.
Teletherapy includes computer-based meetings, such as a Zoom call, online calls such as FaceTime calls, and cell phone calls. It is important to ensure you have privacy for your online therapy session, to ensure we maintain confidentiality. At Chrones Counseling we use a platform called Simple Practice, which is similar to Zoom.
To use distance counseling, you will want to have a good Internet connection. And when engaging in distance counseling or virtual therapy, it is critical to have privacy throughout your online therapy session.
