We accept Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO insurance and private pay (self-pay). We can provide a “Superbill” once a month, to private-pay clients who have other insurance; you submit the claims yourself and coverage varies.

For patients who will be paying out-of-pocket and cannot afford our full fee, we offer sliding-scale fees (lower fees). Discuss this possibility with your therapist.

Cancellation Policy for Therapy Sessions, to Avoid Fees

We require 24 hours of notice for cancellations, or we charge the full cost of the therapy session, $150 for individual sessions and $180 for couples sessions; we cannot bill insurance for missed sessions. Make sure you reach out to your individual therapist at least 24 hours before a scheduled therapy session, in order to avoid paying the fee.

Why Go Private Pay Instead of Using Insurance for Your Therapy Fees?

There are significant reasons some people choose to self-pay their therapy fees. The laws around insurance and privacy, and therapy sessions and healthcare in general, are quite complex and even confusing. While therapists protect the personal details of your life and other protected, personal information, many clients choose to avoid insurance altogether, to keep their private life private. Insurance companies also dictate your treatment plan, regardless of what your therapist deems is actually best for you. That is why we offer private-pay, or self-pay, therapy sessions as an option to pay your therapy fees, as well as sliding-scale fees (lower fees).

Required Forms

Before your first therapy session, you’ll be asked to complete the following forms through our secure online portal.

  • Several required forms that give you information and give us consent to treat you in your therapy sessions and as needed outside of formal therapy sessions.
  • Basic demographic information, which assists us in filing insurance claims on your behalf. In both Florida and Illinois, we only accept BCBS PPO and private-pay (self-pay). We can offer super bills for people with other types of insurance.
  • Credit card information; your therapist will not be able to see your credit card information, and the information is required in order to schedule a therapy appointment.
